Description

Chaos cake is a bold twist on carrot cake, loaded with Cheetos, dried pineapple, and coconut, shaped like a cheesy snack and topped with cream cheese frosting.


Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp allspice

4 eggs

1 3/4 cups sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups grated carrots

1 cup crushed CHEETOS® Crunchy

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup dried pineapple, chopped

Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 cups confectioners’ sugar

Decoration:

1 cup crushed CHEETOS®

1/2 cup shredded coconut

Whole CHEETOS®, tube icing, edible flowers


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13×9-inch pan and dust with flour.

2. Whisk dry ingredients in a bowl.

3. In another bowl, beat eggs, sugar, oil, and vanilla. Stir in dry mix.

4. Fold in carrots, Cheetos, pecans, and pineapple. Pour into pan.

5. Bake for 35–40 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.

6. Make frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, and vanilla. Add sugar.

7. Chill frosting 10–15 minutes.

8. Crush 1 cup Cheetos and mix with coconut.

9. Cut cake in half lengthwise, frost and stack. Shape like a Cheeto.

10. Frost outer cake. Press coconut-Cheetos mix on surface. Decorate as desired.
